There’s one month left until 2025.

Take a moment and think back to the start of this year.

What were your goals? What promises did you make to yourself about your health, your fitness, or how you wanted to show up in life?

Now, ask yourself: How close did you come to achieving them?

If the answer makes you feel a little uncomfortable, you’re not alone.

Most people start the year with the best intentions but get stuck in the same cycle: starting strong, hitting roadblocks, and then falling back into old patterns.

The problem isn’t your motivation or even your willpower.

It’s your plan.

Motivation is fleeting.

Plans, systems, and the right level of accountability are what carry you through when life gets tough—because it always does. Travel schedules, family obligations, work stress… sound familiar? These challenges won’t go away in 2025.

So, let’s try something different. Instead of repeating the same start-stop cycle, let’s focus on creating a better plan—one that fits your lifestyle and helps you break the patterns that held you back this year.

Here’s your opportunity:

1. Reflect on what worked for you in 2024 and what didn’t.

2. Start now—not with perfection, but with progress. Build momentum before the New Year even begins.

3. Seek out accountability. Whether it’s a coach, a program, or even a supportive community, you don’t have to do this alone.

4. This time next year, imagine looking back and thinking: “I finally did it. I stuck with it, I changed my habits, and I feel better than ever.”

You’re one decision away from making that a reality.

Will you have the courage take it?

Here is your Unstoppable After 40 Friday Digest:

What’s better for weight loss, Mounjaro or Ozempic?

Are you having trouble separating fact from fiction when it comes to fat loss?

In a recent podcast, I sat down with Danny Lennon from Sigma Nutrition to tackle the science behind fat loss, hunger, and medications like Ozempic and Mounjaro.

Danny breaks down common fat loss myths, explains how hunger impacts your diet, and dives into when medications might be the right fit for certain people.

We also explore the importance of setting realistic expectations for body recomposition and why chasing the shredded Hollywood look may not be the goal you actually want.

If you’re ready to cut through the noise and get science-backed, practical strategies for fat loss and better health, have a listen to this episode: https://www.legendarylifepodcast.com/614-danny-lennon/

Can you be fit but fat? And what is the best way to change that

Ever heard the phrase ‘fit but fat’?

A 2024 meta-analysis (group of studies) on cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF), BMI, and mortality sheds light on this idea. The study found that higher fitness levels significantly lower the risk of death—even for those who were overweight or obese. On the other hand, low fitness was linked to 2-3x higher mortality, regardless of how much someone weighed.

The takeaway?

Losing fat—especially visceral fat—is key to good health and longevity. But It’s tough to reign in your diet. I’ve found it’s much easier for people to start with exercise. So if that’s your case, prioritize fitness over weight loss.

Building CRF through regular activity—like walking, running, or cycling—can protect your health and extend your life, no matter what the scale says.

My fav exercise for building upper body strength and stability on the go

Band resisted push-ups are perfect for home workouts or while traveling.

How to:

Loop a resistance band across your back, holding the ends under your palms. Perform 8-12 push-ups per set, aiming for 2-3 sets.

If it is too easy, switch to a heavier band to increase resistance.

Why try it?

Backed by science, this routine rivals traditional bench presses, providing serious gains from the comfort of your home or hotel room.

Client Highlight: Jeff C.

Meet Jeff, a 44-year-old financial advisor from Atlanta who was thriving in business but struggling with fitness.

Despite his efforts with CrossFit, Keto, and intermittent fasting, he saw little progress.

In 4 months, Jeff:

  • Shed 30 pounds and said goodbye to his stubborn belly fat.
  • Sculpted a leaner, stronger physique with less than 2 hours per week.
  • Lowered his stress levels and increased his sleep quality.
  • Enjoyed his favorite foods and social events without guilt.
  • Boosted his confidence at work, leading to even greater business success.

Jeff’s journey proves that it’s not about working harder, but smarter.

If you’re an entrepreneur, executive, or business owner who wants to get fit in your 40s & 50s, feel confident in your body, and increase energy in less than 2 hours per week, I’m here to help.

  • How do you want to be regarded? This is all about impact.
