I spent the weekend getting 100s of millions of stem cells injected into my body.

This was at Dream Body Clinic in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

What an experience!

I had 8 MRIs and 28 injections.

When I was getting my pre-injection consultation, the doctor told me:

“Your shoulder and lower back have severe arthritis. Don’t expect the stem cells to do much. If you had sent us your MRIs before you came, we would’ve said not to do it.”

And I started tearing up.

If you know anything about my story, you know that my mental toughness isn’t in question.

I’ve bounced back so many times from tragedy that I have a game plan for it.

But the dark side of being mentally tough is that we endure unnecessary pain instead of getting it treated properly.

In my case, I’ve been pushing through pain in my shoulder (and a few other areas) for years.

Instead of getting MRIs and getting 1st and 2nd opinions about what I should do, I decided to figure it out myself.

In my defense, I did several consultations with doctors and physical therapists. But I knew they weren’t taking my situation seriously.

My story is another example of how poor the medical care in the US is. Since I wasn’t a candidate for surgery (yet), they didn’t care.

So, I decided to deal with it myself instead of finding better care.

But now I’m paying the price…and that’s what led me to try this experimental therapy.

I’ll be sharing more about what happened, as well as the results.

In the meantime, here are two lessons for you:

1️⃣ Take care of problems early. When the “check engine” light comes on in our car, we know we need to take action, or our car breaks down. The same is true for our bodies. Take action or pay the price of inaction.

2️⃣ Find professionals who care about your health. They must care enough to look you in the eye and give you the message you need to hear. They must care enough to put your health before anything else.

While it’s been a journey with many ups and downs, I’ve never been more passionate about helping others with their health.

You can always make more money if you lose it.

You can always buy another car if yours gets old.

But you only have one body.

So, take care of it!

This is why health is your greatest wealth.

Here is your Unstoppable After 40 Friday Digest:

1. How to master your time and win the day.

You know time is precious. Yet, we often neglect to protect it as we should.

Seneca, the Roman Stoic philosopher, wisely stated, “People are frugal in guarding their personal property; but as soon as it comes to squandering time, they are most wasteful of the one thing in which it is right to be stingy.”

This ancient advice is more relevant than ever.

Think about how often your time is stolen daily.

A lost item, a change in plans, or an unexpected meeting can disrupt your schedule, making you reactive instead of proactive.

Technology, with its constant notifications, adds to this problem, distracting you from your priorities.

The irony is that while we claim to lack time, we often waste it on trivial activities.

To reclaim your health and get back in shape, take control of your time.

Pro Tip: Use a daily schedule, set clear priorities, and be disciplined in guarding your time.

Remember, if you don’t plan your day, someone else will. Let’s embrace Seneca’s wisdom and be stingy with our time, for it is our most valuable asset.

2. My secret weapon to optimize your fitness and performance at work.

As an executive or entrepreneur over 40, I know you’re all about peak performance.

My key to unlocking superior fitness and productivity? Elevating your VO2 max.

This metric measures your cardiovascular health, essential for longevity and vitality.

A higher VO2 max means you can perform activities faster and with less effort, giving you that edge you need in your busy life.

Research shows that increasing your VO2 max by just one unit can extend your life expectancy by 45 days.

Now, that you know that you need to increase your VO2 max to become fitter, live longer, and have a better quality of life, let me introduce you to my favorite method: the Norwegian 4×4 protocol.

It’s a game-changer that I’ve successfully used with my clients and myself.

Ready to get started?

  • Start with 4 minutes of intense effort at 85%-95% of your max heart rate (yes, it should feel BRUTAL)
  • Followed by 3 minutes of lower intensity, similar to zone 1.
  • Repeat this cycle 4 times

3. How to Bench Press the Right Way

It’s not just about the chest; it’s a symphony of strength involving your shoulders and triceps too.

But here’s the catch: most people get it wrong.

In this video, I show you why the bench press is a total body exercise and share a special technique that I learned from powerlifting to keep your shoulders safe and skyrocket your results.

Legendary Life Coaching Client Highlight: Rich C.

Meet Rich, a 51-year-old father and entrepreneur, trapped in a 25-year cycle of yo-yo dieting and fitness frustration.

Sounds familiar?

Despite his business success, Rich’s health took a backseat leaving him feeling like a personal failure.

On top of that, he had a long-term vision of what he wanted his life to be like:

“I want to be the guy in his 60s and 70s who is still working out, hiking, and enjoying his life. I don’t want to be like my friends who are visiting the doctor every week for a different health issue.”

In 6 months, Rich:

  • Lost 29lbs of fat and waved goodbye to his belly.
  • Ended the 25-year cycle of hopping from one diet to another.
  • Feels more confident in the boardroom and the bedroom.
