I just had a full cardiovascular check-up.
Why?
Because heart disease is the #1 killer for men my age.
So, I had it all…
Stress test.
Full blood work.
Physical examination.
Ultrasound of my heart & carotid arteries.
I even got a CT angiogram (where they take an x-ray of your heart to look for blockages).
And I’m in the clear!
But, I was concerned.
I’ve never had any heart problems. But I haven’t had the perfect diet. I ate a lot of fast food in my teens and 20s. And I would gorge on Halloween candy and stuffing myself during the Holidays.
In my mid-30s, I wasn’t in the best shape—high cholesterol, pre-diabetic blood sugar levels, and a body that didn’t reflect the man I wanted to be.
In my 40s I got serious about my health and getting in the best shape of my life while growing my online business and traveling the world.
But I didn’t want to fool myself into thinking I was healthier than I am. I wanted the data.
Now, I have it. And it’s a relief.
My biggest takeaway?
You don’t need a perfect diet to stay healthy. But keeping your body fat under 20% and exercising every week? That’s non-negotiable.
Your health is your wealth. Don’t gamble with it.

Are you enjoying summer but feeling guilty about your food choices?
Here’s a pro tip straight from the Legendary Life playbook to keep your calorie count in check when you’re wining and dining: Skip a meal.
Skipping meals is an easy and effective way to cut your calories.
Breakfast might be the go-to skip for many, but some of my clients prefer to nix lunch, especially when they know a big dinner is on the horizon.
If you’re jet-setting, schmoozing clients, or at back-to-back meetings, that evening meal is probably where the real calorie bomb drops.
By strategically skipping a meal, you’re playing offense with those calories, staying ahead of the game so you can indulge without the bulge.
Don’t wanna skip a meal? Then have a low-calorie/high-protein meal like fat-free Greek yogurt or a protein shake.
It’s all about making smart, tactical choices so you can enjoy those holiday meals without your waistline paying the price.
The goal is for you to be able to enjoy the holidays and your social life without feeling guilty or sabotaging your fitness efforts.
2. The Ultimate Anti-Aging Strategy (According To Science)
A 2015 study published in the journal Rejuvenation Research found that exercise affected all 12 “hallmarks of aging.”
While diving into each hallmark would require its own newsletter, the takeaway is clear: no diet, superfood, supplement, or trendy wellness gadget can match the power of regular exercise in building strength, muscle mass, and cardiovascular fitness.
When unsure what to do for your health, prioritize exercise.
Just don’t overdo any one workout.
Avoid injuries.
