Ask Ted 69: How to Get in Shape in 5 Minutes a Day, 1 Nutrition Hack to Burn Fat and My Top Supplement to Reduce Stress

Modern life is full of stress…bills, a bad night’s sleep, traffic, taxes, family, work…the list of stressors goes one and on.

But did you know stress can actually shrivel your brain like a prune? For real. Research shows that chronic stress can actually change your brain’s structure and function in a less-than-optimal way.

These changes can make you more prone to depression, anxiety and set you up for degenerative neurological diseases like Alzheimer’s.

And it doesn’t end there. You can also have a harder time focusing, learning new skills and remembering things. Not good.

In fact, this whole area of brain health is why I’ve been interviewing top neuroscientists to glean more tips and tactics on how we can build and maintain optimal brain health.

But back to stress…

Stress isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Stress from a hard workout will make your muscle, bones and immune system stronger. As long as we have proper recovery, of course.

Then there’s other stresses like I mentioned at the beginning of this email.

Let’s face it, most of these stressors are out of your control.

But you CAN control how you respond to those stressors.

And that’s why it’s critical to have tools you can use to get out of stress mode more quickly. And to also save our brains from the damaging effects of chronic stress.
