Today’s issue is brought to you by Unstoppable After 40 Coaching Program. We help entrepreneurs, executives, and business owners to get fit in their 40s & 50s while growing their businesses and enjoying their lifestyles. (In less than 2 hours per week) .
On Oct 24th, I hosted my 1st luxury wellness retreat for a group of my entrepreneurs and high-performing professionals.
Although I wasn’t sure how it was going to go, it turned out to be a big success.
In the past 6 months, I had grown a bit stale with my business.
Although I love coaching my clients, the business side of what I do can feel like a grind—especially when you do everything from behind a computer screen. So my business partner and I were discussing what big step to take next.
We talked about building a course and launching it. We know many people will never be able to afford to work with us in a coaching format. Building a course would be able to help those folks who want the same body transformations my clients get but who can’t invest 1000s in high-level coaching.
We also discussed building a workout app to deliver professionally designed workout programs in a membership format.
Too be honest, neither of those ideas really excited us.
They might make us money. But few people get transformative results from apps and courses.
That’s exactly why we decided to put on a live group event.
We’ve done events in the past, but it was only private events for our 1-on-1 clients.
While those private events were powerful, they lacked the community that you can build in a group format.
I can’t say everything went according to plan.
But all of the group attendees gave us great feedback…
“This exceeded my expectations.”
“What an amazing weekend!”
“When’s the next one?!”
Were just a few of the things we heard.
Why are events so powerful?
Because there’s no substitute for learning in person in a group of like-minded people.
How do you think elite special forces operatives like Navy SEALs learn to perform at a high level?
Or what about elite athletes?
Hint: they don’t scroll social media or listen to podcasts.
They get classwork on specific, actionable skills.
Then they go and do it under the guidance.
That’s how it’s done.
And while I’m not training my clients to deployed into hostile territory to rescue hostages, the same principles apply.
That said, you can argue that our modern, digital environment with non-stop social media nonsense, high-calorie junk food, and people stuck in victim mode is quite hostile.
How do you learn to thrive physically and psychologically in a situation where you’re constantly bombarded with media, food and people’s negativity?
High-level in-person training is the answer.

Exercise vs Nutrition: What’s More Important for Longevity?
What do you think is more important for longevity?
When I polled my social media following, most people said nutrition.
I used to think the same thing.
But now after studying this stuff for 25+ years? Well, my mind has changed.
I just recorded a podcast episode where I dove into this topic to help you get more clear on what your focus should be.
Here’s what I cover:
- The surprising factor that could be the key to a longer and healthier life
- What two simple strength tests reveal about your longevity
- A common fitness myth that might be holding you back
- A research-backed approach to improving your longevity you’ve probably never thought of
And more.

What you should be prioritizing if you want to better sleep
A 2024 study titled “Higher Levels of Morning and Daytime Light Exposure Associated with Positive Sleep Indices in Professional Team Sport Athletes” has adding to the mounting evidence that natural light in the morning is crucial for better sleep quality at night.
Conducted over 14 days with professional Australian Football players, the researchers used wearable light sensors and wrist actigraphy to monitor light exposure and sleep patterns.
The findings revealed that increased exposure to natural light during morning and daytime hours led to longer total sleep time as well as participants saying they slept better.
On the other hand, more light at nights is connected with worse sleep.
Want better sleep?
Then do what you can to spend more time outside in the morning and afternoon hours.
My favorite exercise to prevent groin strains (backed by science)
Do you have issues with your low back or groin muscle pulls?
Then give the Copenhagen Plank a try.
There’s actually research done on this exercise because of how powerful it is to prevent groin strains. I’ve also found that it’s a great progression to make side planks harder.
How many sets? 2-3 sets
How many reps? 5-10 reps with a 1-second hold at the top.

Quote of the Week:
Ten is twice as good as five, but five is infinitely better than zero.
- Five minutes of training is infinitely better than zero minutes.
- Five minutes of meditation is infinitely better than zero minutes.
- Five minutes of reading is infinitely better than zero minutes.
Sure, it might be ideal to spend an hour doing these things, but five minute gets you in the game. Now you’re learning. Now you’re improving. Now results are possible. Five doesn’t seem like much, but it’s something real. At zero, you’re still dreaming.
Until next week,
