Six months ago, I went to Dream Body Clinic in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to have stem cell injections in my injured joints.
While I was hopeful that it would work, my expectations were low. I also had some reservations about the safety of stem cells.
After all, if they were safe, why did I need to fly to Mexico to get them? Why didn’t the US allow umbilical stem cells to be used?
But 6-months later, I can say with full confidence that stem cell injections are the most powerful treatment that I’ve tried for my joint aches & pains.
And I’ve tried a lot of methods…
From evidence-based physical therapy to healing trauma with ayahuasca to Chinese Medicine.
I tried it all because I only cared about one thing:
Results.
What are the noticeable differences?
I’m training my lower body hard again.
I’m doing exercises like bench presses without pain. I’m walking for hours without achy knees and hips.
In fact, I look so different that I’ve been asked if I started TRT haha
I always joke with people saying that I did get injections…but not with testosterone!
Anyway, while my experience has been amazing, some people report not getting results with stem cells.
So, I’ve tried to make sense of the differences in people’s results with such a powerful treatment.
And my opinion is this…
Stem cells aren’t magic.
If you’re in feeble health or training in a way that is damaging your body, stem cells won’t fix you.
Because the root cause of the problem is that you’re not taking care of yourself properly.
For example, I was already trying to train in a way that was building my body up instead of breaking it down. And while I’ve increased my exercise intensity, I’m still very careful not to overstress my joints.
I take days off if I need to.
I do physical therapy when I need to.
I focus on recovery and getting sufficient sleep.
If you’re hoping that stem cells will allow you to continue living a lifestyle that is destructive to your joint health, they probably won’t do much for you.
However, if you’re already taking good care of your body and you’re struggling with some injuries from the past or accidents, then stem cells just might be the answer you’re looking for.
Another lesson is that while I’m significantly better, I’m not 100%.
In fact, I’ve been talking to Josh (the owner of Dream Body Clinic) to arrange to go back and have another round of injections.
I believe that stem cell injections might be more of a routine treatment to maintain joint health as opposed to a “one-and-done” solution. Keep that in mind if you decide to go this route.
That’s it for now.
But if you’d like to see my video update, I will post a separate email broadcast for it, so stay tune!
P.S. The full 6-month update podcast is coming soon if you want a deep dive.
Here is your Unstoppable After 40 Friday Digest:
1. How To Stop Emotional Eating
I’ve been coaching high-performing executives and entrepreneurs for years.
Do you know what comes up when they talk about their challenges with their diet & exercise?
It’s not complicated by physiological mechanisms or hormones.
It’s the after-work meet-ups with friends who wanna drink and eat.
It’s the boredom at home after at home after an intense day at the office.
It’s the entrepreneur meetups at steak houses with ribeyes and fine wine.
In other words, it’s the psychological and social factors.
Sometimes emotional eating happens due to the pressure we feel in social situations.
Other times it’s from boredom or loneliness. Or stress.
The key is to learn how to manage it despite how it arises for you.
And that’s why I recorded an entire episode on exactly how to do this.

2. My #1 Supplement For Boosting Your Gains And Your Brain Health
You may have heard of creatine monohydrate.
And you probably know it as the most-researched sports supplement on the planet.
But did you know it’s also good for your brain?
A small but growing body of research is showing that creatine can help with brain function as well as exercise performance.
Based on a review of 6 studies on creatine and cognitive function in healthy people, it’s worth giving it a try – even if you’re not interested in the exercise performance benefits.
While more testing is necessary, there was evidence that short-term memory and intelligence/reasoning may be improved by a taking creatine supplement.
How to take it?
I prefer to do a loading phase of 5g 4x/day for a week. Then, you can back off to taking 5g per day.
While many fitness people say the loading phase of creatine isn’t necessary, I disagree. It’s hard to find motivation to take supplements unless you feel them working. I’ve found that the loading phase creates more “buy-in” from clients when they experience the difference in the first week.
Just make sure you get a high-quality creatine product and spread the doses throughout the day. Or you may find all your creatine literally going right through you!

Legendary Life Coaching Client Highlight: Jeff C.
Meet Jeff, a 44-year-old financial advisor from Atlanta who was thriving in business but struggling with fitness.
Despite his efforts with CrossFit, Keto, and intermittent fasting, he saw little progress.
In 4 months, Jeff:
- Shed 30 pounds and said goodbye to his stubborn belly fat.
- Sculpted a leaner, stronger physique with less than 2 hours per week.
- Lowered his stress levels and increased his sleep quality.
- Enjoyed his favorite foods and social events without guilt.
- Boosted his confidence at work, leading to even greater business success.
Jeff’s journey proves that it’s not about working harder, but smarter.
